 DPSCS contract work 55022 Royal Scots Grey at Barrow Hill 

En route to Barrow Hill 55 022 is seen at Peterborough.(Stuart Page)

After the necessary checks had been completed to engine and generator power unit 413 has been started. The power unit was run up to enable an oil sample to be taken. The depot doors were opened shortly after the photo was taken!

One of Royal Scots Grey's roof sections is removed on February 18th.

Also on February 18th, the boiler was removed from the loco.

Contrary to any rumours circulating, the towers above the loco do not form part of a new exhaust system for 55022!
