Description:DPS Review 1986 - 1987
1986
We start this nostalgic trip behind the Deltic Silver Jubilee Railtour. 2 X 37’s being prepared at Stratford depot. The headboards and 55 015 TULYAR on the Midland Railway Centre (MRC) then off to Malton for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) and 55 009 ALYCIDON and 55 019 ROYAL HIGHLAND FUSILIER. Then its back to the NYMR for the members day with numbers 9 & 19 double heading. The spotlight is then turned to number 15 at the MRC gala and the ‘SEG-Butterley Brandy Railtour’. The year also included acquiring a spanner mk 2 boiler and the restoration of number 8’s cab.

1987
The year begins with number 15 hauled by a pair of 20’s bound for Bounds Green, then leaving Toton in a cavalcade for the Severn Valley Railway. Railriders VIP day at Butterley. Number 19’s last run on the NYMR is captured before departing to the MRC and hauling the ‘Midland Fusilier’. It’s then off to Basingstoke open day and Severn Valley Railway (SVR), before returning the MRC, where TULYAR returns to steam heat.
