To mark the 50th anniversary of the Deltic locomotive, HST power car 43167 was named 'DELTIC 50 1955-2005' at King's Cross on October 24th, exactly 50 years to the day since DP1 entered service. In addition, a second event took place at Shildon where the loco now resides.
