The VDA will carry the power unit when it is complete. Over the next few months the power unit will be built into the VDA - at the moment it is simply being used as a store to free up space within the Depot. Seen left to right are the main generator carcase and armature (both covered up), the aux generator and traction motor blower assembly and two stillages containing all the minor assemblies. Behind the photographer and not seen here are the two halves of the phasing gearbox and the turbocharger.
