A view from the free end looking at the newly installed phasing case. Next job is to phase and time the crankshafts, then time the camshafts Following this the free-end gearbox, sandwich piece and turbo can be installed. Note the addition (in felt-tip!) of identification and direction of rotation to the damper covers and cyliner blocks. This is to remove errors when timing - it all seems easy sitting and reading the notes but when it's actually being done it is easy to make errors, especially given that the bottom crankshaft rotates in the opposite direction to the top two....
