 Deltics on the ELR - Past and Present 

When D9019 arrived at the ELR in 1995, it carried 'as built' livery without yellow warning panels or nameplates. This view shows the loco at Castlecroft.

By 1996, D9019 had gained small yellow warning panels. During the 1996 diesel gala, the loco was disguised at D9021 Argyll & Sutherland Highlander for part of the event, as seen here at Rawtenstall.

For a period in 2002, Porterbrook purple liveried D9016 Gordon Highlander operated on the line - although it never reached Rawtenstall as the line was closed beyond Irwell Vale for bride repairs. Here it arrives at Ramsbottom.
