Steam locos appear in DPS depot! Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version
    Tuesday, July 17 2007 @ 18:30 PM BST
    Contributed by: Webmaster

The DepotVisitors to the DPS depot during the Barrow Hill Diesel Event on July 14th/15th were surprised to find two steam locos stabled in the depot! 60532 Blue Peter, which ran on the East Coast Main Line alongside the Deltics in the 1960s, and 506 Butler-Henderson, were placed inside the depot to make space in the roundhouse and yard for the Class 20 event. These were the first steam locos to visit the DPS depot - rumours that a Deltic power unit is being fitted in the tender of Blue Peter are untrue!
