September saw RHF visit Grantham and Doncaster. The move from Barrow Hill to Grantham was via York, where 4468 'Mallard' was collected.

During the line's diesel gala, the NRM's pioneer Class 37 passes D9009 at Pickering. The Deltic returned the train to Grosmont, with the Class 37 on the rear of the train.

D9009 passes D1015 at Goathland on Saturday May 10th. The 'Western' had collected D9009 and 55019 from Barrow Hill two days previously.

The Last Post
June 6 was the 60th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings, Operation Overlord. The day was remembered when Ian Lewis played The Last Post followed by Reveille after two minutes silence were observed. Afterwards at 11.00 the steam locomotives also gave a series of long whistles. The society remembered the officers and men of The Green Howards of which two battalions were amongst the first to land on the Normandy beaches.
