Remembrance Sunday, November 9 2014 - 55019 at Bury on the Sunday, carrying a wreath and shortly before the loco’s power units were shut down for 2 minute’s silence at 11.00.

2013 - Mid Hants, Swanage, East Lancs, Grantham, North Yorkshire Moors & Severn Valley

D9009 spent much of the summer at the East Lancs Railway, being used on several occasions. One such time was on July 28, during the 'End of Steam' event. With an appropriate headcode, the loco stands in Ramsbottom Sidings with a local service. (Stuart Page)
September saw RHF visit Grantham and Doncaster. The move from Barrow Hill to Grantham was via York, where 4468 'Mallard' was collected.

2011 - Magnificent Seven at Shildon

2007 & 2008 - North Yorkshire Moors
During the line's diesel gala, the NRM's pioneer Class 37 passes D9009 at Pickering. The Deltic returned the train to Grosmont, with the Class 37 on the rear of the train.
D9009 passes D1015 at Goathland on Saturday May 10th. The 'Western' had collected D9009 and 55019 from Barrow Hill two days previously.

DPS volunteers worked hard to repair 55019 after its failure on May 9th, but unfortunately the loco was unable to run to Whitby as planned during the event. The loco stands at Grosmont depot.
2004 - Railfest/NRM

June 6 was the 60th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings, Operation Overlord. The day was remembered when Ian Lewis played The Last Post followed by Reveille after two minutes silence were observed. Afterwards at 11.00 the steam locomotives also gave a series of long whistles. The society remembered the officers and men of The Green Howards of which two battalions were amongst the first to land on the Normandy beaches. (Richard Senior)

At the event on July 26th/27th, D9009 was available for 'cabbing' and this proved to be extremely popular as seen by the queue in this picture taken on the first day! D9009 was positioned between the Fifty Fund's 50035 Ark Royal and Class 58 no. 58001 which has been restored to its original livery. (Bob Peach)
55019 was displayed in '1981 workstained' condition, as many of the Deltics appeared in their final months in service.
An attraction at the sales stand was the display of two original Deltic nameplates by a DPS member. Both locomotives (55001 & 55006) ended their days at Doncaster Works.
2002 - Nene Valley & North Yorkshire Moors
