Deltic 50 no more

Those of you who have seen 43367 in service on the ECML in the past few weeks may have noticed that the power car has lost its 'Deltic 50' nameplates which were removed at Craigentinny and are being returned to the DPS. The plates were removed in preparation for the power car being taken out of service and going off lease. It made its last runs with LNER on December 1 and has now moved to Ely for storage. The picture (right) shows it at York on its penultimate day in service.
