New tours featuring D9009 ‘ALYCIDON’

Pathfinder Tours has now announced details of two exciting new trains which are booked to be hauled by D9009 ‘ALYCIDON’. The first, “The Harrogate & Humber Deltic Reprise”, takes place on Saturday May 11th and will see D9009 re-visit some traditional Deltic haunts. Starting at Willington and heading to York, it will traverse in the Harrogate circle before heading for King’s Cross and, after a break, returning north to Cleethorpes. The following month, on Saturday June 29th, D9009 will be heading off route onto former Great Western Railway territory when it hauls the annual ‘Mazey Day Cornishman’ excursion. The train starts at Tame Bridge Parkway and has various pick-ups between Birmingham and Bristol. For full details, please click HERE.

DPS Depot reopening

Subject to no further delays in the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, it is planned that Barrow Hill will be reopening to the public on 7th and 8th August. From the reopening, the DPS depot will now b
