Today at the depot 2 phasing cases were picked up by Spectrum Freight, Chesterfield, to be transported to NDE Clarke-Pitchline, Coventry, for refurbishment. Phasing Case from engine 415 which will be used as a source of spares with a view to rebuild it as a training exercise. Phasing Case from engine 451 which failed at the Nene Valley Railway in 2025, needing a replacement of the main shaft, seen here, flat on the lorry bed. Also, three cases of spares went with the load.

Another busy day at the depot with 9 volunteers attending. With Tulyar still at the Great Central Railway, work continues to progress on 9 & 19. Contacts on the load regulator were adjusted before fitting the contact fingers. One of 19's windscreen wipers was dismantled, cleaned & rebuilt. The compressors in the nose end were accessed through the side panel & the commutators were cleaned.
