Rail 200 is go!

The first day of the Barrow Hill Rail 200 event is underway. Today, 55009 is running on the branch.

On Saturday and Sunday Alycidon will be on display at the DPS depot, which on all three days will be hosting a sales stand, Deltic memorabilia display and 55008 cab visits. Volunteers will be on hand and happy discuss anything and everything Deltic related.

You can also purchase last minute raffle tickets for The Black Watch nameplate recently carried by 55009. The raffle will be drawn on Sunday.



On Saturday and Sunday we plan to do an engine start on 55009 at 12pm and 3pm.

This will be single engine starts as the second engine is partially disconnected ready for a power unit swop next month.
