First job for today was Tulyar being shunted inside for us by our neighbours HNRC ready for completion of the paint job over the next few weeks. It’s now stabled with 55009 safely away from the elements. Final preparatory work for the top coats of paint and varnish are well underway.

The construction of the new panels for the cab floors is progressing well.

The electrical team continued with their steady process.

Areas on the bodywork of Alycidon that require some remedial work were identified.

The last of the cooler groups hatches on the roof were secured with new fixings.

Depot

The main generator previously removed from PU423 (Last fitted to 55007 Pinza) was lifted off the splitting stand and moved into the storage area, freeing up working space between PU 423 and 430.

Throughout the day volunteers engaged with visitors to the depot.
