Today at the depot 2 phasing cases were picked up by Spectrum Freight, Chesterfield, to be transported to NDE Clarke-Pitchline, Coventry, for refurbishment.

Phasing Case from engine 415 which will be used as a source of spares with a view to rebuild it as a training exercise.

Phasing Case from engine 451 which failed at the Nene Valley Railway in 2025, needing a replacement of the main shaft, seen here, flat on the lorry bed.

Also, three cases of spares went with the load.

I enjoyed this depot update, especially the careful refurbishment of the phasing cases and spare parts. After reading posts like this, I often play Subway Surfers which gives me a fast, fun break.
